Message There was a post a couple of days ago:

This post mentions an online auto parts store that features free UPS ground shipping and inexpensive parts. I figured I'd give them a try. Immediately after I ordered a couple parts, I called them. NOTE: They have three or more different .com domains that look exactly the same with the same prices. Others are [ www.overnightautoparts.com, ] [ www.thepartsbin.com, ] and two other sites (I can't remember them right now.).

First Call

Machine: Thank you for visiting our website. Please listen carefully as our options have changed ...
I chose the customer service option.
Machine: Please wait for the next available representative.
brief pause
All of our representatives are helping other customers at this time. For your convenience, please leave a message after the tone and we will get back to you.

This sounds very fishy, so I immediately considered canceling my order. This morning, I called again, because they were closed last night.

Second Call

see First Call
Same exact thing happened.

Third Call

Machine: Thank you for visiting our website. Please listen carefully as our options have changed ...
I chose the sales option this time.
Rep: Uhhh, hello? Hi, how can I help you?
Me: Hi, I want to cancel my order.
Rep: When was it placed?
Me: I placed the order last night, but I called ...
Rep: Too late. It's already been processed and shipped.
Me: How do you know it's been shipped when you haven't even asked me for an order number?
Long Pause
Me: Hello?!?!
Rep: Hold on.
RRRRRIIIIIIIINNG
The dork transferred me.
Rep: Hello? (in a sleepy voice)
Me: Hi, I'm trying to cancel an order.
Rep: It's probably shipped.
Me: Don't you need an order number to know that?
Rep: What's the number?
I give him the number.
clickety click click click
Rep: Okay, it's been cancelled.
Me: Would I get some sort of confirmation?
Rep: Yes.

After that, I immediately went to my bank to cancel any transactions from this company and checked the BBB on their company. Nothing turned up, but somehow I found [ www.thepartsbin.com. ] Same exact layout as the other websites. BBB reports they have had numerous complaints over the last three years, with one unresolved complaint. BBS has requested basic information from the company, but received no response.
